ARTESP

The São Paulo State Public Transport Regulatory Agency (ARTESP) is a state authority responsible for regulating and supervising all forms of public transport services authorized, permitted or granted to entities governed by private law. It is up to the agency to implement the state transport policy; exercise regulatory power; elaborate models of concessions, permissions and authorizations; ensure the provision of adequate services; ensure the preservation of the economic-financial balance of the contracts; and encourage the improvement of the provision of public transport services.

ARTESP functioned as if it were a single building, did not present unified communication services and made calls through a public network.

What was the solution presented?

3CORP in partnership with Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise presented a project with 550 analog extensions and 30 MIPTs (Mobile IP Telephones) to the client´s building. In addition, we provided a Rainbow-based Unified Communication as a Service (UCaas) technology and a unique Cloud as a Service communications platform.

The project allowed the interconnection between the headquarters and the other customer posts. In addition, it has resulted in improved communication and increased productivity among users.

Currently, Artesp communicates extension to extension. The Rainbow allowed a unified communication that enabled interconnection of the headquarters building with all other bases located in Campinas, Marília and Americana as if it were a single structure and able to talk with rainbow through a cellphone.
